Installing IPTV on VLC media player
One of the most suitable approaches for streaming Live TV from your personal devices, or any of the IPTV channels, is to install VLC Media Player. VLC media player is a free, open-source media player and streaming media server that is produced by the VideoLAN project; By installing VLC player you can stream or even
record various types of multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. Not to mention, it is a cross-platform framework making it available for a range of different devices with different operating systems like Windows, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Tizen, etc.
Firstly, you must
Download and Install VLC Media Player. You can either download the software from any of your preferred sources or from
videolan.org, by following the installation steps as instructed. After you have successfully installed VLC Media Player, open the program. Click on Media in the menu bar, at the very top of the program, to activate the dropdown menu, hence, select
Open Network Stream (CTRL+N).
After clicking on Open Network Stream, the Open Media pop-up window will open. The next step is to paste the M3U URL provided by your IPTV service provider. Then press Enter, and wait for the channels to load into your playlist. Once loaded, you can access your playlist by pressing the combination CTRL+L and search for and watch your desired channels.
