Recording live programs on VLC
One of the most suitable approaches for streaming Live TV from your personal devices, or any of the IPTV channels, is to use VLC Media Player. VLC media player is a free, open-source media player and streaming media server that is produced by the VideoLAN project; it streams various types of multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CD's, DVDs, and various streaming protocols. Not to mention, it is a cross-platform framework making it available for a range of different devices with different operating systems like Windows, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Tizen, etc. To record Live programs, you need to
install VLC Media Player and
optimize it on your PC/Laptop. The following instructions, show you how to record all your desired programs live on your VLC Media Player.
This method can be used to record any ongoing action on the desktop, and acts as a screencast.
A-1
Firstly, after opening VLC, select Media from the menu bar, hence select Convert /Save (CTRL + R) from the dropdown menu.
A-2
Once the Open Media window opens, select the Capture Device tab. In order to record any ongoing activity on your screen, you must set the Capture mode on Desktop. The next step is to increase the frame rate from the standard 1.00 f/s so that the recording appears more smoothly. Click the Convert / Save button; this will open a new window.
A-3
Define the destination of the screencast and where you want it to be stored. By selecting the Display the output checkbox, you can display the contents of your desktop while recording in VLC; this is not obligated. You can also adjust the resolution and codec of the video, by clicking the edit button to the right of the profile list or simply select a profile from the profile box and use it as-is. Finally, when you have made your desired adjustments, click the Save button, hence, click Start. VLC will then record your desktop while you are using it. Click Stop, when you are done.
This method can be used to directly record a stream from the Open Network.
B-1

B-3
The next step is to activate the recording tool; select View from the menu bar then select the Advanced Controls checkbox. Finally, load your Network Stream. (Don’t know how to load your network stream?)
B-4
Click the record button from the advanced controls now visible to start recording, and click it once more to stop recording.
