Firstly, Kodi is an open-source program that allows you to stream all sorts of media content, including videos, music and images. Also, it is compatible with most major operating systems, as it was designed to run on Android, iOS, Linux, MAC and Microsoft Windows. Therefore, you can use it across all kinds of streaming devices, like your TV, phone, PC, laptop, tablet and even Xbox. Moreover, an electronic program guide or EPG provides you with the most current information about content broadcasting: the up-coming programs, the time and duration of all the scheduled programs, and a brief description of each program. So, by adding EPG on your KODI, you can optimize your IPTV experience, and learn all about your favorite shows.

Step-by-Step

Firstly, to setup EPG on your Kodi, you must start by downloading and installing KODI on your device. It is worth noting, based on your operating system, you can select the correct download link from here. Or, just as easily, you can navigate to the available store on your device (like Microsoft Store or Apple Store) and simply click on Get or Install to start downloading the program. Likewise, based on your OS, you will also have to choose between 64 Bits or 32 Bits in order to download the most compatible version of the program with your device. Please note that this tutorial is done with a Windows OS; however, the process is quite alike on all the Operating systems.

Hence, once you have installed Kodi on your device and launched the application, click on Add-ons in the side menu of the program. After that, click on or hover over My Add-ons. Subsequently, select PVR Client from the My Add-ons menu to activate a list of all the PVR Clients.

However, if you have trouble locating this option, you can use the search field on the Home screen. When you click on the search icon, it will provide you with a list of options; select Search Add-ons and then type PVR in the search field. As a result, you will then need to scroll through the list of PVR Clients and select PVR IPTV Simple Client.

This will open the PVR IPTV Simple Client page click on Configure to open the settings of this PVR Client. Next, click on EPG Settings and adjust the Location by selecting Remote Path (Internet access). After that, you must enter or paste in the EPG URL of your channel in the XMLTV URL field. Also, you can provide the EPG URL either from your IPTV service provider , through a third-party source or even by freely searching Google. Lastly, click on OK and then refresh your KODI to load your desired EPG on your Kodi, and enjoy watching your favorites with an electronic guide that tells you all about your programs and channels!
